Imogen Heap (b. 1976) is a British singer-songwriter from Essex.
The singer enjoyed a prestigious live debut - performing four songs, backed by friends Acacia, between sets by the Who and Eric Clapton at the 1996 Prince's Trust Concert in London's Hyde Park. She grew up playing music from an early age, and by the time of her eleventh birthday had begun to write her own songs.

Recently Heap's music has come into the limelight with young people when her song "''Hide and Seek''" was featured in the closing minutes of ''The O.C.'s'' second season. "''Hide and Seek''" was released as a digital download on the 5th July 2005 and has become a digital hit single, peaking at #8 on the iTunes UK download chart.
Heap will release a new album "''Speak For Yourself''" in the UK on July 18th 2005 featuring "''Hide and Seek''".
